from bad habits and break through to claim
the top spot in one of the largest off-road champi-
onships in the U.S.
FINDING THE RIDE
"It was kinda funny," said Sutherlin. "At the begin-
ning of the year I didn't really have anything. I won
the 2013 AMA West Hare Scrambles Champion-
ship and I went to a bunch of different manu-
facturers trying to get a ride for 2014, but noth-
ing really came about."
Then came the break from convention–Suther-
lin didn't have a ride, but he did have a magazine
he rode and tested for. Dirt Rider magazine had
one bike left in their stable, and offered it up to
Sutherlin to do some "long-term testing." The bike
was a KTM 450 SX-F, and Sutherlin gladly accept-
