VOL. 51 ISSUE 50 DECEMBER 16, 2014 P85
Most of the teams are pretty secre-
tive about which region their riders will
compete in, and that decision is usu-
ally not announced until the week of
Anaheim, so at this time we don't really
know exactly who is going to compete
in which region.
Last year's sensation, Adam Cian-
ciarulo, won't be returning after miss-
ing most of last year's series due to
a shoulder injury, and was certainly
one of the pre-season favorites. Un-
fortunately, the Monster Energy Pro
Circuit rider fell at the recent Geneva
Supercross in Switzerland and injured
his shoulder again. It turns out that the
injury was significant and required sur-
gery. Afterwards, it was determined
that he will have to sit out the entire Su-
percross season. Hopefully he'll return
for the outdoor Nationals that starts up
in May.
Of course, GEICO Honda and Mon-
ster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki have
been the dominate teams in the 250
class over the past few years, with the
Red Bull KTM guys and Lucas Oil/Troy
Lee Honda riders making waves from
time to time.
Cianciarulo will head another strong
lineup for Mitch Payton's Pro Circuit
squad, which includes rookie Chris
Alldredge, Joey Savatgy, Arenacross
Champion Tyler Bowers and Swiss rider
Arnaud Tonus.
Justin Bogle had shoulder surgery
during the off-season and will most like-
ly race the East series. Either way, the
Oklahoma rider will also be one of the fa-
vorites to win a title. Bogle will be joined
on the Mike LaRocco-managed GEICO
Honda team by SX rookie RJ Hamp-
shire, Matt Bisceglia, Malcolm Stewart
JUSTIN BRAYTON
(Above) Justin Brayton is already looking good on his new
BTOSports.com KTM-WPS Team. (Below) The 2014 West 250 SX
Champion, Jason Anderson, won't be defending his number-one
plate. He is instead moving up to the Supercross class on his new
Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna Team.
