It was no accident the bike was
introduced by Valentino Rossi and
Jorge Lorenzo.
While today's MotoGP can now
effectively fill the marketing role
formerly reserved for Superbikes,
it's completely unrealistic to think
MotoAmerica (or another national
championship) to hope to build
its domestic series around the
hyper expensive prototype class.
And even Moto2 might prove too
costly while lacking the appeal
necessary to serve as a genuine
premier class.
