ere is another bike that was
hard for us to rank. None of
our test riders had anything
bad to say about the KTM at all;
in fact, they all had good things to
say about it. But fourth is where it
landed this year after all was said
and done, which is two notches
down from last year. Both the im-
proved Yamaha and Honda leap-
frogged over the KTM.
The 2015 KTM is basically the
Factory Edition model that was
introduced about six months af-
ter the standard 2014 KTM SX-F.
It gets all of the updates of the
FE model: new WP 4CS forks,
a new shock, updated rear sus-
pension linkage and frame, new
Dunlop Geomax MX52 tires,
and, of course, all-new styling.
Like last year, our test riders
liked the KTM for its powerful
motor, solid suspension, confi-
dence-inspiring handling, and
fantastic brakes.
