OFF ROAD GEICO AMA ENDUROCROSS SERIES ROUND 8/NOVEMBER 15, 2014 FORD IDAHO CENTER/NAMPA, IDAHO P76 in position for the holeshot award but Wally came in and pinched me off hard. Then, he rode really solid for the first little bit so it was tough to get around him at first." The rest of the contenders had to charge through the pack. In lap one, Blazusiak came across in 11 th , Brown was in ninth and hard- charging Haaker was in sixth. By lap two, Palmer was down and out in 12 th with Robert in second, Graffunder into third and Haaker into fourth. By the third lap it was Webb, Robert, Haaker 1-2-3. "Honestly, I have no idea what happened on the start," Robert said. "Somehow I was knocked back into line at the first turn af- ter almost falling over and came out third. Cody, Colton and I were able to get up front after that and the chase began. Colton got around me and I made a few mis- takes. Luckily, I was able to pass him back after his get-off in the woodpile." The top three would settle about two seconds apart from each other for a few laps. Then, Haaker began his surge. He moved up to Robert quickly, making a pass and almost hold- ing it for a lap before a downed lapped rider blocked his line. By the end of the next lap, he made the pass on Robert again and this time it stuck. Webb had an eight- second lead with two laps to go. Haaker massacred the lead in two laps, putting down a charge that seemed to have just enough time to stick for good. Then he committed to a line into the round log pile on the entrance of the fi- nal turn—actually jumping in. "After I got hung-up in second place, I knew I only had a few laps left to make my move and told my- self I was giving everything I had. I got by Taylor again and started reeling Cody in. By the last lap, I thought maybe I could jump in to his inside and make the pass. But, EnduroCross' luck-of-the-draw took me down." In the end, Haaker had the speed to win, put it all on the line and almost pulled it off. Webb rode a nearly flawless evening, putting himself in a position to take advantage of other people's mistakes and misfortune. Robert finished second for another great result after his first win at the last round. "Tonight was a huge win," Webb said. "Once I got into the lead I wanted it to be just like my practice laps and heat race—just do lap-after-lap without any mis- takes and ride clean—and that's exactly what I did. I could hear Colton coming strong and even though he went down and lost another postion—which is good for me in the points—Colton's been riding awesome and I was worried about him tonight and he rode awesome, but I think I rode a smarter race and kept myself in contention and that's how it worked out."
