RIDGECREST RUMBLE
T
he 2014 GXE season culminated on November 15 with the
running of the second annual Ridgecrest Rumble, an event
which featured the first-annual Kurt Caselli Memorial Team
Race. Riders took on 160 miles of the Spangler Hills OHV
area in Red Mountain, California in what was a tribute to the
fallen desert racing champion. In the Pro class, the Purvines
Racing Beta duo of Nick Burson and Axel Pearson rode to a
dominant victory ahead of Kawasaki-mounted Ty Renshaw and
Brad Pace. Rounding out the podium in third place were AS
Racing's Junior Delgado and Damian Tackett.
Burson and Pearson led the charge from start to finish, tak-
ing the holeshot and riding to a rather uneventful finish. They
posted 23-minute lap times consistently all the way to the
checkered flag at the Ridgecrest Rumble. The team's win also
handed the overall GXE Series Championship to Axel Pear-
son, who successfully defended his number one plate.

METCALFE JOINS
TEAM DIRT CANDY
I
t looks like Brett Metcalfe has found a home for
next year's Monster Energy Supercross Series.
Team Dirt Candy announced the signing of Met-
calfe who will campaign the series for the first time
since 2012.
Metcalfe will join current team members Ronnie
Stewart and Robert Lind.
"I've raced the Monster Energy Cup on my own
with some help from Dirt Candy Graphics," Met-
calfe said in a release. "I feel like I've got a good
long-term plan with Dirt Candy and I look forward
to focusing on racing and results."
After spending the last few seasons riding Ka-
wasakis, Metcalfe will switch to Suzukis that will be
prepared by Yoshimura.
Following the Supercross series, Metcalfe will
change gears again. He will return to the Canadian
outdoor Nationals, where he won the MX1 title in
2013, on the Monster Energy/Leading Edge Ka-
wasaki Team.
Brett Metcalfe will compete in the 2015 Monster Energy
Supercross Series on a Suzuki for Team Dirt Candy.
