P110 40 Years Ago November 26, 1974 Brad Lackey was pictured making waves at Puyallup on the cover 40 years ago. It was wet and rainy in Washington for the Trans-AMA MX Series, where Harry Everts claimed the 500cc-class win. Kenny Zahrt won the 250 support class… We tested the Carabela Marquesa 125cc motocrosser. We liked its $799 price and 195-pound weight and recommended it for the novice and intermediate rider… Billy Gray was the top runner at the Ascot Half Mile. 30 Years Ago November 28, 1984 The 1984 Honda CR480R motocrosser was already the best in its class, but we found a way to make it even better. A photo of our CR project bike was pictured on the cover to accompany our hop-up story… We revealed the latest Suzuki GV 1400 GD Cavalcade LT luxury tourer, as well as the 1985 Twin-Link M-Star (Maico) GM250 and GM500 motocrossers. Can- Am also showcased its '85 line of off-roaders… Team Hammer won its second WERA Endurance Road Race Championship, wrapping it all up in Braselton, Georgia.
