A
spry and reinvigorated Tra-
vis Preston took his sec-
ond consecutive 30+ Vet
Pro World Championship at Glen
Helen Raceway. Yamaha-mount-
ed Preston took top honors after
a hard-fought battle with KTM
test rider Mike Sleeter, Ryan Mo-
rais (KTM) and Tonni Anderson
(KTM), for the top spot in the
2014 Dubya-sponsored World
Veteran MX Championships at
the fabled So Cal raceway.
It was a literal "who's-who" of
racing's elite that took to the track
for a Halloween weekend of Vet
racing goodness. Legendary
"Doctor" Doug Dubach contin-
ued to amaze everyone by notch-
ing his 24th World Vet Champion-
ship title over the course of the
long weekend. The Doctor took
wins in the 40+ Expert class on
Saturday, grabbed top honors
in the 50+ Vet class on Sunday,
and then he put in a hard-earned
sixth in the 30+ Pro division on
Sunday! Some workout, eh?

the Vet track at Glen Helen, and
it was a rugged and demand-
ing course. It was made even
tougher by a last-minute deluge
on Saturday that turned parts of

Glen Helen Raceway hosted
the 30th running of the World
Vet MX Championships over the
long Halloween weekend. After a
sudden rain deluge on Saturday,
the track dried out to ideal
conditions, for an assembly of
Veteran MX racers.
