VOL. 51 ISSUE 45 NOVEMBER 11, 2014 P53
KAWASAKI NINJA H2
K
awasaki introduced the
street-legal version of
track-only H2R—the
H2. "Aside from minor differ-
ences in the engine, as well as
an intake and exhaust system
tailored for street use to meet
noise and emissions stan-
dards, the supercharged en-
gine is essentially the same as
the closed-course Ninja H2R,"
says Kawasaki.
In a nutshell, the H2—like
the H2R—features a 998cc
inline four-cylinder motor. Its
displacement comes from a
76mm bore and 55mm stroke
and, just like the H2R, it's
supercharged, pushing the
300-horsepower envelope. It
has a six-speed transmission
with a quickshifter, a company
first for a production bike.
Curb weight is claimed at
524.7 pounds.
MSRP is $25,000 and will
be available in limited num-
bers. If you want one, orders,
along with a deposit, must be
made by December 19, 2014.
