VOL. 51 ISSUE 45 NOVEMBER 11, 2014 P27 NEW MX DOCUMENTARY ON THE HORIZON "A merican Motocross, Last Chance of a Lifetime," is a 15-episode documentary series set to debut on MAVTV sometime next year. The show will provide viewers with an in- sider's look at pro motocross, from a privateer's point of view, on professional motocross rac- ing. The production company is now accepting applications from AMA licensed professional motocross racers to join the cast. (Applications for its rider positions should be sent to www. amxtv.com. Any professional racers who have or are eligible for an AMA pro license can apply). The producers of "American Motocross, Last Chance of a Lifetime" plan on using an "American Idol-Meets Pro Motocross" selection process, and narrow the applicants to a 10-rider field. One lucky racer will be invited to compete. A winner will be chosen to join the cast of the show and receive a contract to represent the team in the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series. "American Motocross, Last Chance of a Life- time" was created by Dean and Angela Taylor as a way to help a struggling privateer rider get one last shot at achieving his dream. PHOTOGRAPHY BY GOLD & GOOSE Two-time GNCC XC1 Pro Champion Kailub Russell will return to defend his title in the GNCC Series. Russell was the dominant rider of the 2014 series claiming nine wins. Russell will be joined by his biggest competitor, two-time Na- tional Enduro Champion, Char- lie Mullins. "Hot Rod" as he is known to fans will contest the GNCC and National Enduro Se- ries for 2015 where he is looking to fight for both championships after returning from a wrist injury that kept him from racing the ma- jority of the 2014 season. Bobbitt will return to the fac- tory team to join Mullins in the championship hunt in the Na- tional Enduro Series. Bobbitt took a win at the final National Enduro round in 2014, after re- turning from a knee injury that plagued him through the entire season. "I am very happy to return to the KTM team," said Bobbitt. "I started my career with KTM and have always been passionate about their product and can't wait to get back on or- ange and work toward another championship." On the west coast, KTM will support Taylor Robert in the En- duroCross Series as well as the FIM Super Enduro Series. The FIM Super Enduro Series will be a new venture for Robert. "I am really excited about participating in the entire FIM Super Enduro Series," said Robert. "I love the extreme events and this series encompasses all of the challeng- es I like on a race course. I enjoy the international races and am looking forward to representing my team on the top level." Ramirez will return to the AMA Hare & Hound Series where he will try to capture his first title in that segment. Martinez has signed on for another year as the only facto- ry-supported female off-road racer. Martinez dominated the GNCC WXC class on her way to her first championship in the series this year claiming nine wins. For 2015, she will return to the GNCC Series to defend her title as well as compete in select AMA EnduroCross events. The motocross documentary "American Motocross, Last Chance of a Lifetime" should air next year.
