MELANDRI
LOOKS GP
BOUND
W
ith the Red Devils looking
more and more likely to
be a semi-official team in World
Superbike in 2015—with the
new RSV Aprilia V-four to play
with—it appears more likely that
Marco Melandri will go to Mo-
toGP.
The Italian rider, who has
been one of the strongest of all
the World Superbike competi-
tors, is being swayed by some
of the things he understands
about the Aprilia MotoGP proj-
ect, but, as yet, no final deci-
sion has been made on whether
he will race in World Superbike
or MotoGP for Aprilia.
Red Devils is looking good
to stay—probably with Leon
Haslam—with factory support,
but no full works team. Aprilia is
too small a company to run of-
ficial teams in both MotoGP and
World Superbike.
