on lap two as he did so, Pedrosa
departed and Rossi moved into
second. By the end of that sec-
ond lap, Rossi up to second and
Marquez had also moved ahead
of Dovizioso.
The front three rapidly moved

managed to hold
off Bradley Smith
(38) in their battle
for fourth place.
