FEATURE BUILD YOUR OWN BETA P90 been ordered, you will be con- tacted by BYOB specialists at Beta USA who will make sure all of the final details of the build are addressed. Beta says that the av- erage build time is 30-45 days. Mine was delivered to me right around the 30-day mark. (You can have your bike delivered to a Beta dealer of your choice.) While I waited, a very cool Beta hydration pack appeared at my doorstep in appreciation of my order; you will get one, too. Not all parts, however, can be installed for you. Because of EPA restrictions, basically any accessory that you order that is connected to the bike's fueling and exhaust systems, cannot be installed by either Beta or a Beta dealer. This includes optional fuel tanks, exhaust pipes, fuel screws, and other air/fuel items. These items will be shipped in the crate with your new Beta with the stock items left in place. So what happens to the stock parts that get replaced by the ac- cessory parts? Beta keeps them, and that's good for you. Since Beta can resell those stock parts, they are able to sell you the ac- cessory parts at a reduced price (i.e. take-off credit), which saves you money. So if you know that you're going to buy that aftermar- ket engine guard for your bike down the road, might as well do it now through the BYOB program and save some bucks.
