awasaki's all-new lightweight
cruiser—the Vulcan S—fea-
tures the ability to be cus-
tomized to your specific size.
So how did Kawasaki create
a cruiser that Goldilocks and the
three bears could all approve
of? By offering different seat and
handlebar options (trademarked
as Ergo-Fit—reduced reach
and extended reach) as well as
giving them the ability to move
the footpegs one inch forward
or backward from the standard
settings.
Powering the Vulcan S is
Kawasaki's liquid-cooled 649cc
parallel-twin engine derived from
its Ninja 650 Sportbike that is
said to give the little cruiser a
sporty feel.
The Vulcan S' cruiser-style
chassis gives it a low center of
gravity and, with a claimed 491.7
pounds (wet), Kawasaki says
that the Vulcan S is the lightest
in its class, making it "fun to ride
for more experienced riders and
confidence inspiring for an entry
level rider."
The Vulcan S is listed at
$6999. For an additional $400
($7399), you can upgrade to
the ABS model. There are three
color options to chose from:
Candy Lime Green, Pearl Crystal
White and Flat Ebony.
