CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "Jean-Michel Bayle was the 250cc World Champion in 1989 and also won the AMA Supercross Championship in 1991." KRAVing H2 How about KRAVE (MotoAmer- ica) brings the spotlight back to American road racing by having a Ninja H2 series. The whole world will be watching. Plus, if you can tame one of these mighty beasts you'll surely be able to handle a lil' ole MotoGP bike. Dan Jendre Slavic Village, OH Too Much? Greetings… I'm trying to envi- sion these combo packages of MotoAmerica and MotoGP races in the U.S. I haven't missed an Indy Moto GP since they have run there and I'm thinking it might be too much? I presently have to make out a schedule as to where I'm going to be and when I'm going to be there in order to see everything. Then it is, "game on" and I rush to this stage, rush to that pavilion, rush back to my seat just in time for the next race. Don't get me wrong - it is a blast. I just don't see how anyone who loves racing is going to get to see anything other than the races. One thing for sure Mo- toAmerica, please pay to have the track cameras on the Mo- toAmerica riders for the Jum- botrons. The Vance & Hines XR1200s don't get the same amount of camera coverage and it sucks. Sometimes they are the best show in the house and the fan gets limited cover- age – and that is one race you better be at the "yard of bricks" checkered flag because it comes down to a millisecond between first and fifth place! Joe Wahrer Fryburg, OH Villopoto Correction I just popped open the new issue and started to read the "Brave New World" interview with Ryan Villopoto (Issue 41, October 14). The opening para- graph states that no rider since the inception of the World Motocross Championship in 1957 has won both Supercross and the premier class moto- cross championships. That is wrong. Jean-Michel Bayle was the 250cc World Champion in 1989 and also won the AMA Supercross Championship in 1991. Unless the writer was implying that no U.S. rider has done it, he just missed that one. Now what you define as the premier class at the time could have been debatable with both the U.S. and GPs running 500s, but for all fairness I think through the test of time the 250cc two strokes were always the premier classes - or up until the 450s and the extinction of the 500cc series.
