VOL. 51 ISSUE 42 OCTOBER 21, 2014 P105
The sprint enduro format is simple:
Lay out two or three special tests,
have racers ride each as fast as pos-
sible a few times, total each competi-
tor's times and fastest one wins. No
time keeping, no transfer sections, no
special equipment needed.
At the Kenda Full Gas, promoter Ja-
son Hooper laid out two tests—a cross
test or grass track and an enduro test,
both in the international model.
"It's a little bit different than our
national enduros here," Hooper ex-
plained. "The trail's definitely wider,
more like you'd see overseas."
As participants arrived at the Big
Buck Farm (a popular GNCC venue),
they first drove past the grass track
After two days
of racing, only
six seconds
separated Josh
Strang from
Milner.
"IT WAS DEFINITELY A GOOD WARM-UP
FOR SIX DAYS, BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME
TYPE OF RACING." – KAILUB RUSSELL
