T
he transition from carburetion to fuel injection
hasn't been the smoothest of ones for the
KTM 250 SX-F. When the 250 SX-F first re-
ceived FI in 2011, the KTM—previously known for its
incredibly powerful motor and featherweight pack-
age—lost a little bit of its edge in horsepower that it
had previously enjoyed over the other 250Fs. But
the real problem wasn't so much about losing some
power as it was about gaining weight—something it
did a lot of.
