VOL. 51 ISSUE 42 OCTOBER 21, 2014 P45
K
awasaki didn't just stop at bringing a
more powerful Versys 1000 to the North
American market – it also gave its little
sibling Versys 650 ABS a host of updates for
2015.
In addition to its more aggressive styling,
the Versys 650's rubber mounted engine got
an increase in power as well as range with
its larger 5.5-gallon fuel tank. The engineers
at Kawasaki made changes to the brakes to
improve braking feel and added new adjust-
able front suspension and preload in the rear
for a more comfortable ride.
In an effort to add comfort via increased
wind protection, the 2015 Versys 650 gets
a larger windscreen and more options for
adjustability.
The Versys 650 is set to arrive this Decem-
ber and comes available in two versions – an
ABS model and the LT model, which comes
standard with Kawasaki's Quick Release
(KQR) Hard Saddlebags and Hand Guards.
