R
ecently crowned GNCC
Champion Kailub Russell
of the FMF/KTM Factory
Off-Road Racing Team got out
to a fast start on the first day of
the inaugural Kenda Full Gas
Sprint Enduro, then held onto
a smaller winning margin on the
second day to wrap up the over-
all. N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha team-
mates Daniel Milner and Josh
Strang rounded out the podium
in second and third, respective-
ly, just six seconds apart.
While sprint enduros are
popular in Australia and Great
Britain, the format is practically
unknown in the U.S., with the
J Day organization in New Eng-
land the only example on these
shores that comes to mind.
But this was the first time for
a sprint enduro with some of the
best off-road racers in the coun-
try—in addition to Australians
Milner and Strang—who took
the opportunity to brush up on
the specific riding skills they'll
need at the ISDE in Argentina
next month.
