line that we did every other lap but
I guess we dragged so much wa-
ter on the track that my front end
washed out and I went down."
Blazusiak struggled to make
up for his mistake, and couldn't
reel Haaker back in.
"The pace we're running right
now is just…crazy, I have to say,"
Blazusiak said. "I was all over the
place going as fast as I could and
we're definitely pushing the bikes
to the limit in EnduroCross. It's
fun, for sure, riding at that limit.

ground on his Rockstar JCR Honda.
"It's cool; I'm really excited," he said.
"I haven't had the red plate in two
years now and I only had it for one
round. Hopefully I can hang on to it
longer this time!"
Denver started out very well for
Factory Husqvarna's Mike Brown.
"Brownie" captured the hot lap in
afternoon qualifying with a blistering
time of 53 seconds flat. The evening
hot laps (just before the main event),
saw Cody Webb take the pole posi-
tion, and first gate pick for the main.
Both riders were awarded an extra
championship point for their hot lap
win.
Described by most as "just motoey
enough to be fun," the Denver Endu-
roCross course took advantage of
the generous floor space at the Na-
tional Western Complex. With more
room between obstacles than usual,
the course had a good flow. Rid-
ers also enjoyed the fact that there
were multiple lines through many
of the obstacles. "I think it was the
perfect mixture between gnarly and
racey," said Beta's Max Gerston. "It
made for good racing because you
could pass. There was, like, three or
four different lines in the rocks so it
worked out." Destry Abbott agreed.
"It was an awesome track!" he said.
"I think it was one of the best tracks
we've had in a while," Abbott said.
"We had little ruts. You were on the
edge, you were having fun, jumping
stuff and you're almost coming up
over the bars. The spectators loved
it and I heard the crowd going wild. It
was an awesome track tonight!"
