T
he penultimate round of
the 2014 World Superbike
Championship delivered
the usual incidents and way too
many accidents because of the
incredibly wet and cold track sur-
face that blighted race day, but
the main thing that was presented
to the world after two shortened
19-lap races is that there will be a
true finale next time out at Losail
in early November.
Like the race in Jerez, Spain,
albeit in very different weather,
the Aprilia duo of Marco Melandri
and Sylvain Guintoli dominated,
with Melandri earning himself
another (at least in moral terms)
