CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "Will we live long enough to see it again? I really don't know." The Farm System Kenny Roberts and Wayne Rainey warned us. They warned us that this eventually would hap- pen… that a force from Spain's farm system would come and something wicked did come this way. The prodigy's name is Marc Marquez. As if you didn't know. When Valentino Rossi retires, we will be witnessing the end of an era and yet the beginning of, as hard as it is to believe, a more impressive one. Yes the Marquez era may surpass Rossi's statisti- cally, given Marquez's age and what's left in the tank. And Rossi has even said, "He is me, 2.0." Though there has to be a Ying to the Yang and what really blows is that there's just one American in the pack! I love Nick Hayden and believe in him, but it's not nearly enough. Just like Yoda said, "No, there is another." Marc's little brother is another a fellow alien and the force is strong with him also. Here's a question I'm asking those around my age: How long will it be or will I live to see a grid with at least five Americans? Where is America's MotoGP farm system? For every year that we are behind might as well be 10 years. Will we make it? Will we live long enough to see it again? I really don't know. I guess I'll just sit back and watch some good racing. Jaime Ponce Via the Internet MotoAmerica I'm not sure how I feel about the 1000cc Superstock bikes run- ning with the Superbikes. It has a certain CRT ring to it. But I will trust Mr. Rainey on this one... because he's Wayne Freakin' Rainey! Tim Wright Via Facebook MotoAmerica II I think what has happened since 2008 in AMA racing, besides almighty Supercross, has been disgusting. The lack of television coverage is appalling. Not ev- erybody likes to watch 42 neon colored cars go in left circles for five hours, only to come down to a two-lap drag race at the end. Lets hope that a big network picks up MotoAmerica and at a regular schedule at that. Dale Rush Via Facebook MotoAmerica III Makes a lot of sense. Parity between the classes run here and in Europe would afford our boys a smoother and more competitive transition, avoiding the problems that plagued riders like Josh Herrin - not to mention the exodus of high level talent to Europe (Cameron Beaubier, et al). I will certainly do my part. Ceasar Gonzales Via Facebook MotoAmerica IV I hope the media's anointment of Wayne Rainey has as much of a positive effect on KRAVE as the negative effect that its crucifixion had on the last regime. Me? I hope for the best outcome for American road racing. Ian Schmeisser Via Facebook MotoAmerica V Sounds good but show us the rules - don't just talk about them. John Ziehisdorff Via Facebook MotoAmerica released infor- mation on its rules package on Friday, October 3. Look for it in our In The Wind section… Editor.
