Once again the AMA Grand National Championship
comes down to the AMA Pro Flat Track Series Finale
in Pomona, California. After a disastrous Calistoga
Half Mile for Bryan Smith, the man in the champion-
ship driver's seat is Jared Mees. Mees' 13-point lead
over Smith gives him some breathing room, but it is
dirt track and anything can happen. So Smith and
Jake Johnson (16 points behind) will be all in to try
and dash Mees' title hopes.

The 2014 FIM Speedway World Championship
wraps up on October 11 in Torun, Poland and
leading the title chase is American Greg Hancock.
The 44 year old is 12 points ahead of Krzysztof
Kasprzak and 15 points ahead of the reigning
champ, Tai Woffinden. That means that Hancock
needs 10 points to secure his third world title. And
depending on how the night goes for his nearest
rivals, Hancock can do it with less.
