GRANT BAYLOR
CROWNED AGAIN
Ending his XC2 Pro Lites career
with a commanding victory, KTM
Support rider Grant Baylor was
crowned with his second straight
XC2 Championship. Baylor put
on a hard charge to top his class
competition by over four minutes,
while also finishing seventh over-
all for the day.
"I would have liked to get that
overall win before moving into the
XC1 Pro class but I'm happy to
have this second championship,"
Baylor said. "I'm looking forward
to hopping on the 450 at Ironman
to at least get one race under my
belt before next season when I
ride XC1 full time."
It was an all out battle for sec-
ond place in the XC2 Pro Lites
class between KR4 Arrive-N-Ride
KTM's Nick Davis and RideMPS.
com/AMSOIL Honda's Layne
Michael. The duo battled back
and forth all afternoon but it was
a head-to-head battle on the final
lap as they got together on a hill
climb. Michael made it through
and went on to secure second
place, while Davis lost some time
to finish nearly one minute back
in third.
