MILNER TO AMPRO YAMAHA?
I
t appears that top Australian
off-roader Daniel Milner will
be racing full-time in the U.S.
in 2015 aboard a Yamaha for
Randy Hawkins' AmPro Ya-
maha team.
In addition to select interna-
tional events, Milner will con-
centrate on the 2015 Kenda
AMA National Enduro Series
as well as the Grand National
Cross Country Series.
Milner made international
news last year when he won
the Enduro 2 class at the
ISDE in Sardinia. The Ya-
maha rider was also the Aus-
tralian Off-Road Champion in
2013.
"Australia has long pro-
duced successful off-road
racers and Daniel comes to
the AmPro Yamaha team as
well credentialed as any oth-
er rider in the past," Hawkins
told Australian website Moto-
online.com. "He is obviously
a talented and determined
rider and during our discus-
sions, I believe he will enjoy
the challenge of racing here
and be very successful at it.
Yamaha US and AmPro are
excited to have Daniel as
part of our team in 2015 and
we believe with our help he
will be a contender to win the
NEPGA and GNCC champi-
onships in his first year."
However, Cycle News
spoke with Randy Hawkins
and he confirmed that he is
indeed in negotiations with
Milner, but things have yet to
be 100 percent finalized.
Milner could make his first
appearance in the United
States in the final two rounds
of the 2014 GNCC Champi-
onship.
