f you love motorcycles and you love racing… well, then there's no place
like Sturgis, South Dakota. Home to the famous Sturgis Rally, the city
has made an effort to return to the rally's racing roots, welcoming chap-
wearing weekend warriors and motorcycle racers alike with open arms.
So it's no mystery why the 2nd Annual Sturgis Supermoto has become the
AMA Supermoto Championship's premier event of the season.
With Supermoto attempting a comeback since its virtual demise in
2009, the sport is really a promoter's dream – a sport that can race any-
where with asphalt. Like Main Street in Sturgis. It's grassroots racing in a
small town with a big motorcycle heritage. Here's a look back at the event
