IN THE WIND P22 IT'S OFFICIAL: BARCIA, PEICK TO JGRMX Y amaha made it official on Monday that both Justin Barcia and Weston Peick have joined the Yamaha Joe Gibbs MX Racing Team for the 2015- '16 season. Barcia has spent most of his racing career aboard Honda and will now make the transition to the Yamaha YZ450F, while Peick will be coming over from the RCH Suzuki squad, where he competed in the outdoor Na- tionals in the 450 class. Peick rode Yamahas for many years before making the switch to Su- zukis in 2013. "I have met everyone over at Joe Gibbs Racing and already feel like part of the family, I am excited to start riding and train- ing for the 2015 season," said Barcia, who has been recover- ing from ankle surgery earlier in the outdoor championship. "I couldn't be more excited to see what the future holds for the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX team," said Yamaha race team manag- er Keith McCarty. "With Barcia and Peick under the tent and the improved 2015 YZ450F at their disposal it should be a very ex- citing year." Yamaha made the official announcement that Justin Barcia and Weston Peick have signed with the JGRMX Yamaha team MOVIN' ON UP: VAN DER MARK TO WORLD SUPERS N ewly crowned World Supersport Champion Michael van der Mark will move to the World Superbike Championship in 2015 and 2016 with the 21-year-old Dutchman signing a two-year deal with the Pata Honda team. Van der Mark wrapped up the World Super- sport at Jerez in Spain on September 7 – with Mark van der Mark will move to the World Superbike Championship in 2015 with the Pata Honda factory team.
