Before, the only way to
change the CR's fuel/ignition
mapping was via a separate
engine tuner, but not anymore.
It can now be changed on the
fly with the new EMS button,
which controls three pre-pro-
grammed mappings: standard,
soft and aggressive.
They can be changed right
all, while the soft setting was
definitely preferable for dry and
slick conditions, it toned down
the hit just enough to give the
back tire a bit more time to find
some traction without make the
bike feel "slow." The aggressive
mode is just that - aggressive.
You'll notice a more explosive
power delivery when you first
from the side of the track. With
the engine at idle, you can tog-
gle through the three settings, a
blinking blue LED light tells you
what mode you're in (one blink
for standard, two for soft and
three for aggressive). And all
three make notable differences.
We actually found the standard
setting to work quite well over-
