The RoadRace Factory/Red Bull Yamaha team will be heading to England to compete in the final two rounds of the Supersport sup- port class in the British Superbike Series (BSB). The RoadRace Fac- tory/Red Bull team is taking newly crowned Daytona SportBike champ Jake Gagne and his teammate To- mas Puerta to England to race in the British Supersport class on Yamaha YZF-R6s. "I'm excited for the whole experience," Gagne said. "New tracks, new series, new class. I just can't wait to get racing over there. It's awesome to see all the hard work the team and especially Danny Walk- er has put into this effort, and we'll work hard to make America proud." Saturday's rain-drenched Superbike race gave an opportunity for a few unheralded riders to score career best results, including fourth-place Sean Dwyer. For Dwyer the more rain races he sees the happier he becomes. "I think they need to wa- ter these tracks for every race," he joked. "I seem to be doing well in the rain. I got a sixth at Barber in the dry, but that was a good time out there to- day. There was a lot of carnage and treacherous conditions, but it was a fun race. I have a smooth style and that helps in the rain, plus having motocross experience where track conditions change from lap to lap." Canadian Superbike riders have largely been absent in recent years, much of it having to do with their se- ries using a different tire brand. There once was a Canadian pipeline that for years supplied talent to the AMA Superbike Championship and its support classes. With the Canadian Superbike season complete a cou- ple of riders ventured down to New Jersey.
