Argubright insisted he wasn't
that nervous going into the race
despite some bad luck during
the year (mostly in the SRT/AMA
Hare & Hound Championship
Series) and tried to simply con-
centrate on his riding.
"I've been working really hard,
doing a lot of moto so I was more
focused on the race and being
consistent, trying to focus on my
moto skills and getting better so
that way it'd take my mind off it,"
Argubright said.
When the green light flashed
for the start of the 90-minute fea-
ture AMA West Coast Grand Prix
Series race, Argubright shot to
the front immediately aboard his
Charles Jirsa-prepped Dunlop/
Braking/Motorcycle Superstore.
