Kailub Russell isn't known for
his great holeshots but the 2013
GNCC Champion has a way of
gravitating toward the front right
away. N-Fab AmPro Yamaha's
Paul Whibley grabbed the hole-
shot but before the opening
lap was complete, Russell had
worked his way through the pack
and into the lead.
"I didn't realize I was in the
lead until we popped out on the
motocross track, Russell said.
"I tried to put down a couple of
fast laps right off the bat but once
we hit lappers it was like a brick
wall. They weren't getting out of
the way because it was only their
first lap, and my second, so they
weren't expecting that."
JCR Honda/Rockstar Ener-
gy's Chris Bach used the lapped
traffic to his advantage early on
as he worked his way into second

over his usual 250 and came away
with runner-up honors.

Pro Lites class and extended his
points lead.
