Saturday, but Raga took it to an-
other level to win yet again.
"This is one day in my life I will
remember forever and I am so
happy not just for myself but also
the team," Bou said. "When I
started this journey back in 2007,
when I first won the world title, I
had only ever dreamed of match-
ing the success of seven world
titles which Jordi Tarres and Dou-
gie Lampkin had achieved and
now I have raised the record to
eight. Of the 13 world rounds this
year I have won seven and fin-
ished second in the others I have
finished. This year had been a
tough fight, but I have believed
in myself all the way to the 2014
crown."
When all was said and done,
Bou topped Raga by 15 points in
the title chase, 225-210. Sher-
co's Albert Cabestany ended up
third in the final standings with
163 points.
Toni Bou earned a record-setting
eighth World Trials Championship on
Sunday in Spain.
