WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 10/SEPTEMBER 7, 2014
JEREZ CIRCUIT/JEREZ, SPAIN
P48
Despite two second-place fin-
ishes, both with championship
leader Tom Sykes some way be-
hind in fifth and third, Guintoli is
now 31 points adrift - not the 21
he could have been had he fin-
ished ahead of Melandri in both
outings.
These points could become
significant if things get tight in
the remaining two rounds – two
rounds of the normal two races
each and not the once promised
three-race-per-weekend plan to
make up for the cancelled Russia
and South African rounds.
So there are 100 points up for
grabs if you win all the races.
Nobody was winning any of
the Jerez races except Melandri
this weekend, according to him
