He was just ahead of Cali- fornian Stevie Bonsey, who is ninth in the standings, but closing and only 10 points out of seventh. Factory Harley-Davidson rider Brad Baker was ninth, this after being the fastest rider in timed qualifying. Last year's Springfield Mile double-race winner Brandon Robinson rounded out the top 10, riding once again with the TJ Burnett Farms Kawasaki squad.
