Luke Clout, on the Serco Ya- maha, captured the MX2 title over Harnish Harwood and Luke Arbon. Matt Moss claimed the Australian Na- tional MX Championship in the MX1 class for the second year in a row. NHHA PLANNING MEETING SETS FUTURE COURSE T he National Hare & Hound Association (NHHA) met with team representatives, promoter club members, sponsors and riders in Burbank, California, on August 27 to discuss the SRT AMA Hare & Hound National Championship Series and how to improve it. Among the changes were naming Erek Kudla as the series director. He'll attend every race and be the last word when it comes to interpreting the rules. The Kurt Caselli Foundation - represented by Quinn Cody - announced that it will send the vastly experienced Paul Krause to each race in order to pre-ride the course to verify markings, which should make for more consistency. Nationals should be closer to 100 miles if at all possible. The NHHA will also strive to make pit area layouts more consistent, and it will also host a pit for racers who are new or don't belong to a club or oth- erwise have their own pit sup- port.
