Briefly...
Trey Canard says that he will skip
the traditional "Fall races" to concen-
trate on getting ready for 2015. "Last
year, I did Bercy and Genoa [Super-
crosses] and I had a blast, but I think
it cut into my preparation time for
Supercross," said Canard. "It makes
you really tired to go over there, es-
pecially when it's that late in the sea-
son, so I'm going to stay home. I'll do
Monster Energy Cup and test."
Josh Grant finished fifth in the first
moto, despite dislocating his shoul-
der. The JGR Yamaha rider did not
start moto two.
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawa-
saki rookie Chris Alldredge had a
very impressive day, going 5-8 for
sixth overall. Among the rest of the
recently turned pro rookies, GEICO
Honda's RJ Hampshire went 9-11
for 10
th
overall, and Cycle Trader's
Luke Renzland went 36-16 for 18
th
overall.
Christophe Pourcel crashed in the
first 250 moto while running eighth
and elected not to return to the start-
ing line for moto two.
Chad Reed, Andrew Short and
Fredrick Noren all crashed just mo-
ments after the second moto start,
with Short rebounding to finish sev-
enth overall and Noren picking him-
self up to finish just behind in eighth
overall. Reed got the worst of the
crash when his crashing bike landed
directly on top of him. Amazingly, he
still got up and finished eighth.
Ryan Dungey talked most of the
year about chasing a setup on his
KTM. Here's Roczen's take on how
his bike evolved during the season.
continued on next page
over his Red Bull KTM teammate
and did just enough to sew it all
up with room to spare over his
teammate. It was the first time
ever that KTM finished 1-2 in the
450 outdoor championship.
Despite having wrapped up
the 250 title the week before in
Indiana, Jeremy Martin kept the
gas on in Utah and blitzed to a
double-moto sweep of the 250
class, just in case there were any
doubts as to who was really the
best.
