IN THE WIND P34 2015 ASTARS T he folks over at Alpinestars invited the media to their U.S. headquarters in California last week to unveil its new additions to its 2015 Technical Motorcy- cle Collection. Alpinestars has added 25 new products across every category – racing, sport/ performance riding, touring and its new line geared towards the urban/outdoors oriented rider – in both the men and the women's Stella line. And it's also more than just some new color waves. Meet the new GP Tech leather suit, which takes all the technol- ogy tested in MotoGP by Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa, including the pre- mium kangaroo leather that has not been offered before. There are also some new boots offered in the sport/per- formance line: the S-MX3 boot that features a new micro pump buckle that allows for more fine- tuned micro adjustments and a quick release. And if you liked their Fastlane shoe but wished it was waterproof, you got your wish with the new Faster shoe. In the touring line, Alpinestars have added the all-weather Bo- gota Drystar jacket and pants that fall in between the Valpara- iso and Andes line. Also added was a new cold weather glove – the Oslo Drystar glove - and the Monofuse Gore-Tex boot with a new buckle system on the back. Alpinestars has also added to its popular "urban adven- ture/outdoors" line – Ride Out, which made its debut last year. There are three new jackets to cover three seasons – the Tor- nado Air, a more serious cold weather jacket; the Runner Air, a breathable, light summer jacket; and one that fits somewhere in between, the Spark Soft Shell jacket. They also added some gloves to the line – the Yari Drys- tar glove, Haku glove and Asama Air glove. In addition to these new products, Alpinestars was ex- cited to share the news of a product it's been working on for a long time – the Tech Air Street – which takes the technology they've devel- oped for the track in the Tech Air suit and puts it in more hands of those who ride on the street. The street project is set to launch in No- vember with more details. (Above) Alpinestars showed off some of its new gear last week at its HQ in California.
