SRT AMA HARE & HOUND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
ROUND 8/AUGUST 23, 2014
PANACA, NEVADA
P100
"But you know what? I real-
ized you just give it your all the
first couple miles then just take
it easy and relax, take a deep
breath, find your groove and just
ride your bikeādon't worry about
what's going on around you, in
front of you or behind you."
Purvines Racing Beta's Axel
Pearson earned his first trip to
the podium in what is a home-
town race for him. The local fa-
vorite slipped into third place ear-
ly aboard his FMF/Motul/Klim
498 RR (the first National he's
used it, having run the 450 RR
previously). "I think I was fourth or
fifth through the first little section
and then I had a good line and
just pinned it through the brush.
I almost came close to Skyler
and Ricky about a half mile into
the race, but honestly, Ricky, he
just wanted it more. He pinned
it through the dust and got out
front.
"Skyler rode good. I followed
him pretty much all day.
(Above) After a slow start put Jacob
Argubright deep in the pack, he
caught up to fourth, only to run out
of fuel before the end of the first
loop.
(Right) Nick Burson saw his
narrow two-point series points lead
evaporate after finishing fourth, but
it could've been a lot worse.
(Far right) Ivan Ramirez bounced off
a few people on the bomb run, which
left him well back in the pack.
