top. There's enough torque to
pull third gear through the tight-
est of sections.
Clutch action from the hydrau-
lic Brembo unit is light and pro-
vides plenty of bite. Its new DDS
(Dampened Diaphragm Steel)
clutch system that uses a single
diaphragm spring is a big im-
provement over the multiple coil-
spring clutch.
The FE250 and FE350 feature
a new lighter one-pieced CNC-
machined steel clutch basket
and stronger inner hub to im-
prove durability and save weight,
all the while improving clutch feel
for the user.
Suspension is outstanding.
There's a firmer feel from the mid-
stroke and a plusher ride in the
initial stroke compared to the rest
of the off-road machines. Com-
pared to the stiffer and busier
feeling two-strokes, the FE250
feels like it's riding on pillows. It's
