No biggies, it's a 125. It's also the
only motorcycle of its kind that
will be offered in the U.S. (KTM
does not import its 125 XC.) The
TE's heavier flywheel—compared
to the TC125—does a great job
of helping keep the engine turn-
ing in the slower, technical sec-
tions; it also tones down that off/
on jerking at that very moment
you open and close the throttle.
Momentum is key on a 125 two-
stroke, especially on the trails,
and the TE does a good job of
letting you do that. You can ride
the little Husky below the pow-
erband with no fear of stalling,
which is a huge advantage over
some of the bigger bikes, espe-
cially the four-strokes, on tight
trails. If you need a quick burst
of power, usually a swipe of the
clutch lever will do the trick, or at
most, a quick downshift or two.
No matter what, however, you'll
be using the TE125's clutch a lot;
luckily it seems to be durable and
provides a good bite.
