CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "It has been a great ride and it's just time to move on." In The Paddock I consider Michael Scott's column titled "On The Shoul- ders Of Giants" (In The Pad- dock, Issue 31, August 5) to be stellar, putting words to my thoughts which I couldn't wrap up in such a nice package. And backed up with the statistics. Thanks for compiling those, Michael. The same applies for me to the world of motocross and Supercross. GOAT this and GOAT that… the only Goat I am aware of is Goat Breker, from an earlier period in the sport. Douglas Hill Afton, VA Road Racing Takeover? I'm on the edge of my seat with the reports of a Wayne Rainey- assisted Dorna takeover over the current AMA road race series. It can only get better from here. The three-race 2014 Superbike Shootout was a start, now let's finish DMG's interest in the sport. Andy Moore Via the Internet MotoGP TV I have been watching motor- cycle racing for decades on many different channels. I will have to say the presentation of the Indianapolis MotoGP race was the worst production I have ever seen. Thank God for my subscription to MotoGP online. Dear directors at FOX, it is a simple concept, show the race so the people can watch it and you get to slip in some com- mercials to make even more money. You showed commercials and commercials and even when you recovered from your power outage you still went to something other than the race. It was good that you showed the last lap. Viewers watch your rac- ing programs to see the races, not commercials. Most could care less what commercials are shown. It just cuts the racing and always seems to be when there is an important pass. I already pay a premium for the feed from my satellite provider. You would think you would get enough from them to show your broadcast, but no, you have to stick commer- cials in the broadcast. I do not see any commercials on my MotoGP feed. Bottom line, racing good, commercials bad. By the way you have also made a real mess of the outdoor AMA motocross. Keep up the good work. Joe Edone Paso Robles, CA ISDE Medal Count I just read in the Letters to the Editor (Voices, Issue 32, Au- gust 12) about Tommy McDer- mott. I just need to clear up an- other always messed-up figure on the medal count for myself. The total number of medals is 11 gold, 20 silver and two bronze and no DNFs. This year's ISDE will be my last one to make room on the team for the faster riders. It has been a great ride and it's just time to move on. Jeff Fredette Via the Internet Motocross of Nations Team The U.S, team is not only a strong team, but a team of guys who are sure to have fun, race hard and represent the USA with honor. Gregory Eddinger Via the Internet Letters to the editor can be sent to voices@cyclenews.com. Published letters do not necessarily reflect the position of Cycle News. Letters should not exceed 150 words and are subject to editing. Anonymous letters won't be considered for publication and each letter should contain the writer's name, address and daytime phone number… Editor P16 Got An Opinion?
