MOTOCROSS
LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 11/AUGUST 16, 2014
IRONMAN RACEWAY/CRAWFORDSVILLE, INDIANA
P50
National Motocross Champion.
For Musquin the win in the
250 class (3-1) was a morale
booster. His late-season charge
gives him a lot of momentum go-
ing into 2015. It also put Musquin
within shooting range of second
overall in the 250 championship.
Another standout performance
next week in Utah could leapfrog
Musquin over Cooper Webb and
Blake Baggett in the final stand-
ings.
The championship number one
spot in the 250 class was decid-
ed in Indiana. Jeremy Martin, the
rider who seemingly came out
of nowhere in the pre-season to
quickly become the leading 250
contender, clinched the 2014 Lu-
cas Oil 250 Motocross title after
finishing second in the first moto
aboard his Yamalube/Star Rac-
ing entry. Martin may ultimately
go down as one of the most un-
likely champions in the history of
the series.
