THE

This year's Senior TT winner Michael Dunlop
struggled to match the pace of the leaders and had
to settle for fourth on his BMW, 4.8 seconds behind
Anstey. Newcomer Peter Hickman on the Ice Valley
BMW rounded out the top five as he continues to
impress in his debut season on the roads.
As for the Supersport it was the same three on
the box. Antsey doubled up on wins for the week-
end, but this time Johnston brought home second
and Martin third.
Unfortunately for the older Dunlop brother, Wil-
liam, it was not so great of a weekend, falling out
of the lead in Supersport with a mechanical and
facing the same fate on the Superbike grid.
NICOLETTI FOR ENDUROCROSS?
M
otocrosser Phil Nicoletti
says he's going to give En-
duroCross a try.
Nicoletti, a part-time racer and
test rider for the Toyota/JGRMX/
Yamaha MX Team, will compete
in the fourth round of the AMA
EnduroCross Series in Atlanta,
Georgia, August 23.
Nicoletti has been practicing
on the EnduroCross track that
a few of the JGR team staff built
for fun so he has an idea of what
he is getting himself into. "I'm ex-
cited to experience the sport of
EnduroCross," Nicoletti said. "It
is getting bigger every year, and I
have wanted to try it. The cours-
es are very technical so I want to
limit the tip overs and have fun,"
Nicoletti said.

Stewart sat out his third Lu-

Championship round in a row
since pulling out just before the
second moto at the Spring Creek
National in Minnesota nearly a
month ago.
The day prior to the August
16th Indiana National in Craw-
fordsville, Stewart announced
that he wasn't going to race, say-
ing he has not yet fully recovered
from an illness that took him out
of the Spring Creek race. He has
not yet revealed what his illness
is other than it being a "medical
condition."
He says that he is hopeful to
return at the final round in Salt
Lake City on August 23.
"This year has been incred-
ibly up and down with the highest
of highs and lowest of lows for
the team and me," Stewart said
in a release. "I finally felt things
were going our way after decent
results in Colorado and then the
sweep at High Point. After that
it's been one frustration followed
