Thanks to the big win in moto
two, Canard earned his best
overall finish of the season in
second (4-1). With two rounds
remaining, Canard sits 74 points
from the leader with third place in
the championship standings.
3+3=TOMAC
After being announced to the
Motocross of Nations USA Team,
GEICO Honda's Eli Tomac quiet-
ly rode to a solid and consistent
third-place overall with a pair of
third-place moto finishes.
"In the first moto, the orange
guys were up front early. I tried
to make a little push somewhere
in the middle, maybe before half-
way or just after, but then I kind
of struggled to stay with them,"
Tomac said.
In moto two, Tomac mixed it
up with Canard for the lead po-
sition early on. After maintaining
second for a majority of the race,
Tomac eventually fell victim to
Dungey's hard-charging pace to
finish third. Despite missing the
first four rounds, Tomac has now
moved into fifth in the champion-
ship standings.
UNDER THE RADAR
Justin Brayton put in one of his
most impressive performances
of the season since returning
from a pre-season injury at round
five. The Toyota/JGRMX/Yamaha
rider swept both holeshots of the
day and kept himself up front for
