GEICO Honda's Zach Osborne re-
turned to the lineup for the first time
since injuring his thumb at the series
opener at Glen Helen. "My prac-
tices went great and I was right up
front, running the second- and third-
quickest laps in the two sessions,"
Osborne said of his day. "My confi-
dence was high. Unfortunately, I got
cross-rutted in the first lap of moto
one, went down hard, and wadded
up the bike pretty good. I couldn't
ride it after that, so we just went back
and got ready for moto two. I rode
really strong the whole second race
and got seventh. I pulled a pretty
good start and then passed maybe
seven or eight guys, so that was
something to build on for sure. It's
hard to come back mid-season when
everyone else is in moto shape. You
can train all you want but nothing
prepares you for a national besides
running the race."
Blake Baggett, now second in the
250 Championship, came into the
Unadilla race banged up after crash-
ing earlier in the week while practic-
ing. "This is not a track you want to
fight when you're not 100-percent,"
said the Monster Energy/Pro Cir-
