After just one lap of racing, Sutherlin and Russell had al- ready gapped the field by nearly 30 seconds, as they battled each other for the lead and pulled away from the rest of the pack. While doing so, the pair swapped the lead back and forth several times, but Sutherlin was able to make the last-lap pass on Russell just before the checkered flag to take his fifth. "Never give up! Hats off to Ricky, he is really good in the trees, and I just stuck with it," Sutherlin said. "I didn't let it get me down when he got away from me for a little bit, and I was able to reel him back in. I just didn't give up, and I got him on the last cor- ner. It is good to be back on top!"
