CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "I'm still heading to Castle Rock for the National TT event on August 2, which is typically dryer than…" Going Political Being 65 years old, I remem- ber when Cycle News informed the readers of the people who sponsored bills at the state and federal level that were targeted at the motorcycle community's rights and freedoms. Unin- formed voters are a danger to our freedoms. I was amazed that over 95 percent of the bills sponsored were people from the same party. Cycle News should be informing the riders and fans what these political hacks are doing. Roger Clapp Via the Internet Grays Harbor Blues As a local flat track fan I was so happy to see an AMA Grand National vee-twin half mile back in Washington State, which is home to many National riders like Brad "The Bullet" Baker, "Slammin'" Sammy Halbert, and many more Washington State local AMA Pro Racing flat trackers. It's been 30-plus years since we've had the privilege of seeing the big twins together with a Pro Singles event at a local AMA-sanctioned venue. Unfortunately Saturday's Elma race, as my trip to Santa Rosa, California, went last fall (ticket, airfare, rental car, hotel, wine, hot dog, parking, Coronas, etc.), was rained out by a freak coastal summer mist that made the track too slick for the pros to even attempt a qualifying lap let alone a heat race. C'mon man. The race moved to Sunday, but with gas prices these days and my free time, I had to settle for my weekly Cycle News update - which by the way I'm so thankful for. I'm still heading to Castle Rock for the National TT event on August 2, which is typically dryer than a popcorn fart compared to venues closer to the coast. Well, the Sacramento Mile should be sunny and sweet. Jimmy Z. Via the Internet MotoTV Help I need help. As you know, the outdoor National Motocross program on TV is split between two NBC-owned channels. Moto one of the 450 and 250s are covered in a two-hour for- mat on one channel and then, immediately after, one must move over to the other NBC Sports channel to hopefully see both of the second motos. I live out here in Arizona and subscribe to DishNet and have found in the last two weeks that the second 450 moto just vanishes into a black hole of programming hell. The 2nd 250 moto is covered in a one- hour format and then… nothing more. Can you tell me where to find the 2nd 450 moto? Olde Scott Via the Internet According to the weekly release that is sent out by MX Sports, the second moto from Spring Creek (Millville, Minnesota) last week was shown at 6 p.m. (Eastern) on NBC Sports Network. The first moto aired at 2 p.m. (East- ern) on MAVTV. Every week prior to the race, we run the "How To Watch" update that is provided to us by the event promoter on CycleNews. com. Also remember that a pre-show and the motos are shown online at ProMoto- cross.com… Editor. P16 Got An Opinion? If you've got an opinion on something you've read in Cycle News.
