IN THE WIND P24 MORE SURGERY FOR HAYDEN N icky Hayden underwent more surgery on his trouble- some right wrist last week in San Diego, California, the Drive M7 Aspar rider hoping that this latest procedure cures a problem that has been an issue since 2011. The surgery was performed Dr. David Chao, a former team physician for the San Diego Chargers, at the Oasis Center. Chao performed a proximal row carpectomy with radial styloidec- tomy, which involves the removal of a row of small bones in the wrist in order to increase mobility in the joint. Chao reported that the surgery was a success and that Hayden has increased the mobility in his wrist. The 2006 MotoGP World Champion will now rest and start therapy in order to return to rac- ing as soon as possible. The MotoGP season resumes on Friday, August 8 with prac- tice for the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix. Nicky Hayden underwent wrist surgery in San Diego, California, last week.
