Briefly...
James Stewart had another frus-
trating day at Spring Creek. While
running fourth on the first lap of the
first 450 moto, Stewart suffered a
get-off but remounted to finish sev-
enth. He returned for the second
moto but said that he wasn't feeling
quite right. After getting a good start,
the race was stopped and restarted
because of a starting-gate malfunc-

Stewart said he felt disoriented and
dizzy, and decided to retire for the
day. "Obviously, we're disappoint-
ed," said Yoshimura Suzuki Team
Manager Mike Webb. "But more than
that, we're concerned about James.

or whether he's suffered health is-
sues that we were all unaware of at
the previous rounds. One thing is for
certain, it's been a tough few weeks
for James and that's taken a toll on
him and the team. Right now, we're
going to get James checked out by a
physician and play the next few days
by ear. His health is our number-one
priority."

of Reed's team for four years. Reed
is still struggling getting back up to
speed after his injury. He went 14-14
for 15

then turned and came back down,
Martin sent the riders all the way
up to the top before coming back
