MORE SURGERY FOR HAYDEN
N
icky Hayden underwent
more surgery on his trouble-
some right wrist last week in San
Diego, California, the Drive M7
Aspar rider hoping that this latest
procedure cures a problem that
has been an issue since 2011.
The surgery was performed
Dr. David Chao, a former team
physician for the San Diego
Chargers, at the Oasis Center.
Chao performed a proximal row
carpectomy with radial styloidec-
tomy, which involves the removal
of a row of small bones in the
wrist in order to increase mobility
in the joint.
Chao reported that the surgery
was a success and that Hayden
has increased the mobility in his
wrist. The 2006 MotoGP World
Champion will now rest and start
therapy in order to return to rac-
ing as soon as possible.
The MotoGP season resumes
on Friday, August 8 with prac-
tice for the Red Bull Indianapolis
Grand Prix.

denly after it was learned that last year's team member Ryan Fisher
would not be able to compete due to a shoulder injury that requires
surgery.
Hamill paid tribute to Fisher.
"Ryan is devastated with the timing of this," Hamill said. "His
